We've seen a lot of confusion among our clients about what 4G means, and if their new smartphones can take advantage of the faster networks. This is compounded by the lies currently airing as advertisements by all four of our major carriers.

Available right now through Verizon Wireless for $600 (on a two year contract) or $800 unsubsidized the Motorola Xoom is the first true competition the iPad has had to face. Running the newest version of Android from Google the reviews have been mixed. We most likely won't pick up a unit to test with so we'll refer you to reviews we trust from Engadget and Anandtech. From our point of view $800 is too much for a device like this, though we won't know if Motorola's price point gambit was a success for at least a few weeks.
