What we use #3: Google Docs

It might seem counter-productive to some, but the combination of Google Docs and Microsoft Office is a recipe for success. Hear me out. Microsoft Office has been the industry standard for document creation for years due to its powerful features and relative ease of use. Google Docs is making significant headway in enterprise by promoting drop dead simple sharing and collaboration functionality. We use the combination for a few reasons.
1) Google offers the cheapest storage available online - Starting at 20GB for $5 per year and going up to 1TB for $256 per year, Google Apps is just the best bang for your buck when it comes to secure online storage.
2) For simple document creation and editing Google Docs works great, but when it comes to creating complex documents for your clients nothing beats Microsoft Office - Document fidelity and complex formatting in Word and Excel have kept businesses coming back to Microsoft for years.

3) SharePoint is nice, but sharing and collaboration is just easier and faster with Google Docs - There are only three clicks required to share any document or folder securely with co-workers, clients, or even make public on the internet.

4) PowerPoint is still king - With the ability to record audio narrations, convert presentations to video, and broadcast live online there is no substitute for Microsoft PowerPoint for companies that don't use computers made by Apple.
5) Microsoft and Google are better together - With a free tool like Insync (available for PC and Mac) your company can use your Google Docs just like they're saved locally on each computer. You can open and edit them in Microsoft Office, and with just three clicks you can share them far easier through Google Docs than Microsoft SharePoint.
6) Access, share, and edit documents from anywhere - Instant access to your company documents from a web browser, your PC or Mac, or even your smartphone and tablet can make the processes you have in place right now obsolete. Easy document sharing and collaboration powered by Google, in conjunction with the rich tools of Microsoft Office means you don't have to compromise anymore.

TechMinds is in the unique position of being both a Microsoft and Google partner. That flexibility lets us take your company to new heights of efficiency, which is something you won't see from Microsoft only, or Google only consulting firms.

Actually, Google Docs was a first step in the cloud storage technology, only without offering much space online. Google Docs offer a great opportunity to access your documents online from any place or computer you want. It's really very convenient.
